How i spend my Days

I have come to see my life as a series of chapters and each day as a page that gets written and filed away. Some of those pages have been lost to time or forgotten because I was too wrapped up in whatever micro-dramas were playing out in my head or in the world around me. But now that I'm well past all the schooling of my twenties and the tumultuous striving of my thirties, I'm beginning to think of my forties as a time to focus, to ground myself in the details of the life I'm currently living, and to give my attention to the things I love. For, as Mary Oliver writes, "This is the core of the secret: Attention is the beginning of devotion." My Instagram account is a record of my musings about the writing life and what I'm learning about the writing process, as well as a peek into how I'm spending my days both on and off the page.
